"Max"
Here is a recent case that proved to be interesting, and, not uncommon.
Max is a real "Rockhound"......... well, actually he is an Airedale Terrier.
His owners became concerned after a period of intermittent vomiting. Max was throwing up within an hour or so
after eating, and he did this consistently, several times during the week.
Max came into our clinic for an examination, and Dr. Tina suggested that an "x-ray" (or a radiograph) might give
us some answers to Max's problem.
Play the slideshow below to see what Max's x-ray looked like!! Anyway, Max apparently ate a river rock!!
After weighing the different treatment options, surgery seemed like the best option for Max. During surgery, Dr.
Tina made a small opening in Max's stomach and retrieved the rock that was causing the problem.
Max doesn't have any more vomiting problems, although he still likes rocks!! Max is obviously interested in
geology!!
Thanks Max for the interesting case, and from now on, please study the rocks, but don't eat them!!
